2008 Flu-Clinic
The flu season is just starting and it is not too late to get a flu shot for the current season.
Customers who wish to receive a flu shot may still do so. Licking Memorial Hospital’s Outpatient Clinic on the fifth floor is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. for flu shots and no appointment is necessary. The cost is $30 by cash, check or credit card, or you may present a current Medicare, Medicaid or MedBen insurance card.
Currently, all adults, 18 years and older, are eligible to receive the flu vaccine. Parents of children needing flu vaccines should contact their family physician or pediatrician to get them vaccinated. You may not be able to receive the flu vaccine if you are allergic to eggs, ill with a high fever, or have had a severe reaction to the flu vaccine in the past.
